There’s a hidden gem in the Caribbean, an untouched piece of earth, with pine trees and naked cays. An island that lives in a myth. Embracing a breeze with a rod in hand is as common as the sunrise. The people of this little island, Guanaja {also called Bonacca) live by and for the sea. My grandpa Paddles out in his little dory most days, and hand lines for what’s in the mood to bite, mahi mahi, king fish, bonito, happy with his day. Early morning beer cracked open, leather hands and a smile, that is my grandpa, that is the real Guanaja. Raw Fishing and Adventures is a charter company that offers what other companies don’t have a connection with. Raw represents the heart beat of the island. We work with and for the community. A portion of all of Raw’s income is being dedicated to Guanaja’s first NGO. 

 My brother Tito or I pole a flats boat to zones that bring excitement to a fisherman.
